Welcome back to a brand-new year at NYHA.......and what a brilliant start we’ve had!

As we step into this year, the energy from our students has been brilliant. Here’s what we’ve been up to this September:

Live Model Success!

This month, our learners completed One-Length Cuts on REAL MODELS and they absolutely smashed it!

Their confidence and focus were outstanding. It’s amazing to see how far they’ve come in just a few weeks.

Welcome Emma – Our New Beauty Specialist!

We’re thrilled to welcome Emma, who has launched our Beauty Therapy course with a focus on skincare. In just two weeks, the students have:

• Learned about the structure and function of the skin

• Explored different skin types and routines

• Practised facials on each other in a supportive environment

Welcome Keighley - Our New Student Support Specialist!

We’re delighted to welcome our Student Support Specialist, Keighley. Who has already made a fantastic impact in her first month.

She brings a huge amount of energy and passion into everything she does and her presence is already being felt across the provision - in the best possible way!

Level 2 Hairdressing Has Begun!

Our students have officially started their Level 2 Hairdressing qualification and we couldn’t be prouder of how they’ve thrown themselves into it.

A special thank you goes to Lisa, who has worked tirelessly and with incredible attention to detail to put the entire programme together.

Her commitment ensures our learners receive the highest quality training and support.

Functional Skills Focus

We’ve really begun to knuckle down on Functional Skills this term, with even more scheduled into our weekly timetable.

With hard work and tailored support, we’re confident our students will make fantastic academic progress this year.

Farm Visit – Thank You, Stonebridge Farm

We had an incredible time visiting Stonebridge Farm in Stanns this month. It was a wonderful opportunity to broaden our students’ experiences, feeding the animals, exploring the farm environment and learning about agriculture.

A big thank you to the team at Stonebridge Farm for welcoming us and making the trip so memorable!

Health, Fitness & Wellbeing

We’ve continued our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle!

Several students are exploring physical fitness and self-care as part of their wider personal development journey and we couldn’t be prouder.

With the continued dedication of our learners and the support of our wonderful families, we’re aiming high in 2025/26.
