Safeguarding Information
Your safety and well-being are our top priority
What is Safeguarding?
It means we are committed to ensuring their physical, emotional, and mental well-being while they are with us.

Safeguarding in our school includes:
-
Protecting students from harm or abuse.
-
Promoting a safe and positive environment.
-
Ensuring all staff are trained to spot and respond to concerns.
-
Supporting students who may be experiencing difficulties at home, in school, or in the community.

In simple terms, safeguarding is making sure every student feels safe, cared for, and supported so they can learn, grow, and thrive. We take this responsibility very seriously and work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to keep our young people protected.

At our school, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
How We Keep You Safe
Trusted Adults
We are committed to ensuring the safety of every child through a strict safer recruitment policy. Every member of staff undergoes an enhanced DBS check before they begin working with your child.
Additionally, all staff complete a comprehensive induction training program that goes above and beyond the standard requirements.
This ensures that our team is not only qualified but also fully equipped to provide the highest standard of care and support to every learner.
Collaboration
We believe in working together to achieve the best outcomes for your child. We maintain regular communication with your child’s host school, ensuring that we align our safeguarding efforts with theirs.
By working closely with their support teams, we create a consistent and reliable network of care for each student.
This collaboration strengthens our ability to provide comprehensive and personalized support.
Robust Reporting
At New You Hair Academy, we take every safeguarding concern seriously. We track and monitor all safeguarding concerns in collaboration with the host school, ensuring that no issue goes unnoticed.
Our approach is based on the principle that it’s always better to report than to overlook a potential risk, no matter how uncertain the severity may seem.
This proactive stance ensures that we maintain the highest level of vigilance for the safety of every child.

Our Approach
Safeguarding Tips:
1. Speak Up, Fam!

If something’s bugging you, don’t sit on it spill the beans! We’re here to help, whether it’s your mates, stuff at home, or anything else. Talk to a tutor, your fave staff member, or anyone you get along with.
2. It’s All About Trust

We take an “it could happen here” approach basically, we’re always on the lookout to make sure you’re safe. Got a worry? We’ll sort it, no dramas.
3. Keep It Cool Online

Social media’s all fun and games until it’s not. Don’t overshare, keep your accounts on lock, and let us know if you see anything dodgy. Cyber-safety is massively important, don't be the one who realises it too late!
4. Parents Know What’s Up!

We’re in constant chat mode with your folks. Dont worry, we tell them about the good stuff too! It’s all about working together to keep you winning.
5. Stay in the Safe Zone

Our provision is a no judgment zone. Be yourself, respect others, and always ask for help if you need it. Safe vibes only, yeah?
6. Trust the Squad

We’re all trained up to spot when something’s off. If we notice something, we’re on it faster than you can do a TikTok scroll.
7. Don’t Play Hero - Play Smart

If you see something dodgy, let us know. Don’t try to fix it yourself - we’re the pros for a reason!
