February has been another fantastic month at NYHA, full of progress, exciting new initiatives, and a huge milestone for our growth. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

Attendance Continues to Shine

Our attendance remains strong at 91.3%, which is a fantastic achievement. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our learners in attending regularly, your efforts make all the difference.

Mock Exam Success

Our students recently sat their mock exams, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. They took them seriously and behaved brilliantly, which has given us valuable insights into their target areas. This will allow us to tailor our support so that every learner can achieve their goals.

Coursework and Portfolio Progress

Portfolios are filling up nicely, and coursework is now well underway. It’s great to see our students making steady progress and building evidence of their hard work.

A Big Thank You to Our ClassDojo Parents

A huge thank you to all parents engaging with us on ClassDojo! A quick like or comment may seem small, but it makes a big difference. It shows your child that you’re keeping up with their progress, which boosts their motivation.

Reading Push at NYHA

We’re making a big push for reading at the provision, and the students have responded well! Lisa has been reading to the learners, and they now all have a reading diary. If they stay motivated and engaged, this will have a huge impact on their English skills—so far, so good!

Arts & Crafts Taking Shape

Students have shown a keen interest in arts and crafts, so we’re slowly introducing more creative sessions. This is something we’re excited to expand as NYHA continues to grow.

Expanding Our 1-1 Provision

We are also stepping into a new but much-needed area, 1-1 education. At our core, we want to help those who need it the most, and with the increasing number of young people requiring 1-1 support, we couldn’t sit back without taking action.

This expansion is already proving to be a positive step forward, allowing us to provide the engagement and tailored support these learners truly need.

It’s a reinforcement of what our Director firmly believes "Engagement is key." We’re excited to see this grow and make a meaningful impact in our city.

A Huge Milestone – Expanding into Nottingham County!

Following last month’s successful Nottingham City Council audit, where we passed with flying colours, we’re incredibly proud to announce that we have now been accepted to deliver our services in Nottingham County!

This is a huge milestone for us, as it means we can reach even more young people who are in desperate need of alternative education.

This expansion marks a new and exciting chapter for NYHA, and we can’t wait to continue making a difference in even more lives.
