As we wrap up 2025, this month has reminded us of everything that makes NYHA such a special place, family, creativity, growth, and joy.
December has been filled with festive traditions, community moments, and well-earned celebrations.
Here’s how we ended the term:
Ice Skating Tradition Returns
We headed to Nottingham’s Market Square for our annual ice-skating trip, which is fast becoming a cut-above-the-rest Christmas tradition at NYHA!
Gliding (and occasionally wobbling) around the rink brought plenty of laughter and built even stronger bonds between students and staff.
Families Stepping Into the Salon
This month, we were delighted to welcome students’ family members as live models for hair and beauty sessions.
It was a fantastic way to involve parents in their child’s learning journey and a brilliant reminder that at NYHA, we’re not just a school, we’re a family.
NYHA Christmas Dinner
We hosted our annual Christmas dinner for students, gathering around the table to enjoy a warm meal and reflect on all the positivity and progress 2025 has brought.
These shared moments matter, and help us end the year with gratitude and connection.
Art & Design – Creativity in Full Flow
We’ve been exploring Art & Design as a new creative outlet, and let’s just say, our students have really been flexing their styling muscles in new ways!
From colour theory to original designs, it’s another way they’re developing the kind of flair that makes our learners stand out.
Deck the Halls – NYHA Style
The school has been decorated with care and love by the students themselves. The tree is up, the lights are twinkling, and the festive spirit is well and truly alive.
It’s been a joy to see how much pride the learners take in their environment.
Staff Christmas Party
Our incredible team enjoyed a well-earned Christmas Party, a chance to unwind and celebrate the huge impact they’ve made this year.
It was a rare moment of downtime for a staff who give their all, every single day.
Thank you to our staff, students, parents, and community for everything you’ve contributed this term.
Wishing you all a joyful, restful, and well-deserved break.
